WHAT IS XBB.1.5? ANOTHER COVID-19 WAVE IN US.XBB.1.5.
WHAT IS VARIANT XBB.1.5?
The entry of a new coronavirus variant which is also known as XBB.1.5. The XBB.1.5 variant is discovered by a USA virologist and they believed that the variant has some kind of mutation. The mutation in XBB.1.5 variant is not like that which causes sudden death but somehow, they help the coronavirus to better bind to cells and transmission of coronavirus. They get more attention from virologists due to their faster transmission ability. Like COVID-19 increased again in CHINA.
The
recently high number of COVID cases in the US was caused by the XBB.1.5 virus
because they rapidly spread due to the high ability of transmission. This
variant is not causing that much effect on the population of the USA like
omicron when they first discovered in the population of the USA.
NAME OF THIS VARIANT
The omicron variant was first discovered in 2021. According to Stuart Ray of Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Maryland, the percentage of covid-19 diseases caused by XBB.1.5, usually known as the Kraken, has been increasing virtually every week in the US, making it the fastest-spreading variation there. Nearly 30% of covid-19 cases, according to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
The XBB1.5.1 variation was 8% throughout the weekend of December 17, but it abruptly climbed to approximately 11.5% on December 24. The number of cases due to XBB1.5.1 variation is often doubling every eight days.
The XBB1.5.1 variety was discovered by virologists in the USA in October 2022, and it spread quickly throughout the population. They infect about 28% of the new population of Americans. In addition, they found it in 23 other nations in addition to the US and UK. They also contribute to 4% of England's COVID infections.
IS IT IN FUTURE THEY CASE ANY DISASTER?
So as we can see from the data provided by CDC there is no indication of a rise in infection and death. Although scientists concur that there is currently no evidence to suggest that XBB.1.5 poses a larger risk than earlier variants, it is still too early to determine whether infections brought on by this variant are more severe than those brought on by earlier variants.COVID-19 increased again in CHINA.
